Brunch at Posto

今日は Somerville にある Posto へブランチを食べにやってきました。以前一度夕食を食べに来てがっかりしたことがあるのですが、ブランチならまあ大丈夫かなということで、再度トライ。ここのブランチも先日の Aquitaine と同じようにコーヒー、オレンジジュース、シナモンロール、メインのお料理のセット ($15) があります。 Today we came to Posto in Somerville for brunch.  We visited here before for dinner but were very disappointed.  But I thought that brunch would be OK, so we gave it another try.  Similar to Aquitaine, this restaurant also serves prix-fixe brunch menu ($15) with coffee, orange juice, a cinnamon roll and an entree.

注文してしばらくすると、焼きたてのシナモンロールが出てきました。Aquitaine のものよりかなり大きめで、甘さ控えめ。熱々、ふわふわでシナモンのにおいがあまり好きではない私でも大丈夫。 A few minutes after we placed our order, a freshly baked cinnamon roll was delivered to our table.  This was much bigger than Aquitaine's one.  It was hot and soft but not too sweet, and I liked it.

私はマッシュルームのフリタッタを注文したのですが、これが直径 25 cm 程もある超巨大なものでした。フリタッタには色んな種類の茸やチーズがたっぷり入っていて、とってもおいしい！ I ordered the mushroom fritatta (oyster, shiitake & crimini, fior di latte, oregano, parmesan).  It was huge, the diameter was maybe ~10 inches.  It contained lots of mushrooms and cheese, and was very tasty.

フリタッタの下にはポテトのロ ー ストとルッコラのサラダも。先にシナモンロールを半分程食べていたのでフリタッタは 1/4 くらいしか食べられませんでした。残りはお持ち帰りにしたのですが、家で暖め直して食べてもやっぱりおいしかったです。 Under the fritata were roasted potatoes and arugula salad.  Since I ate half of the cinnamon roll, I was already very full and could finish only ~1/4 of it.  We took the rest home - it was still good next day.

夫は卵とベーコンのモーニングピザを注文。これもフリタッタと同じくらいの大きさです (これも半分しか食べられず、残りは持って帰りました)。 My husband ordered the bacon and egg breakfast pizza.  This pitta was as big as my fritatta (we could finish only half of it as well).

卵は半熟でとろ～っとしていて食べるのが難しかったのですが (でも味はおいしい)、以前食べたときよりも生地がふにゃっとしてなくて夫も満足。これで $15 はかなりお得だと思います。次はもう一度夕食に挑戦してみようと思います。 The eggs were very runny, and it was difficult to eat (but very tasty).  This time the dough was much better than before (we had a pizza with very soggy dough on our last visit) - we both loved this pizza.  I think the brunch here is a very good deal and recommend it.  I'll come here again for dinner - hopefully we can get a good pizza again next time!
