To celebrate our anniversary (it will be tomorrow), we went to Menton, a French restaurant, for dinner. This restaurant just opened in April this year, but I did not have a chance to visit until today. |
White wine we tried. This wine was very good. |
I ordered a glass of non-alcoholic grapefruit cocktail. It tasted very refreshing. |
Amuse bouche, potato vichyssoise. |
Mini croissant. It was really tiny, smaller than the butter that came with it... |
Chorizo Poached Striped Bass. We were told it was gazpacho sauce, but it was warm. |
Vermont Berkshire Fresh Bacon. I don't know why, but this dish was on the house. This was actually very good (maybe my favorite for tonight). After we finish this dish, the restaurant manager (I guess) came to our table and asked us if we were the professional writer (because we were taking pictures). Was that the reason for this additional dish? Furthermore, he offered us to look around their kitchen after the dinner. Lucky us. |
Cavendish Vermont Quail Farci. I think the similar dish that we had in Paris tasted better, but this was not bad, either. At this time, I was too full to finish the plate by myself and asked for my husband's help. |
At the end, mini macarones. They were as small as... |
This. I was tooooo full and I couldn't eat any of them although they were so tiny. |
Espresso. This restaurant was OK overall, but I think they should improve bread, sauces, and desserts. |
