Dinner at Penang

今日は友人夫妻と一緒にチャイナタウンにあるマレーシア料理のお店、Penang へ行って来ました。ここは私のお気に入りのレストランの一つです。

Tonight we went to Penang, a Malaysian restaurant in China Town, with our friends.  This is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

Home Made Roti Canai (Indian Pancake).  This pancake is freshly prepared for every order, and is chewy and very good.  We always order this dish.

Bah Kut Teh (Chinese herb with pig feet, stomach, rib and fatty pork).

It had strong Chinese medicine-like smell, and at first I thought I might not like it, but once I tried it, I realized that it didn't have too strong herbal taste and the soup had a good flavor from pig.

Kang Kung Belacan (Sauteed convolus with spicy Malaysian shrimp paste sauce).  We order this dish every time, as well.  I love this vegetable!  This tastes different from the Chinese version, but very good!

Prawn Mee (Rice and egg noodles, sliced pork, shrimp, vegetable, bean sprouts in a spicy shrimp broth).

Hainanese Chicken (half chicken).  This is also our favorite dish.  It does not have smelly chicken smell, and is sooo good if you eat it with the spicy sauce.

Chicken-flavored rice.  I believe this restaurant hasn't changed the menu for a long time, but their execution is very reliable and price is also reasonable, so it is always crowded with locals as well as tourists.  By the time we finished our dinner, a lot of people were waiting for tables.
