 今朝は早く起きたので近所にあるダイナー、Cappa's Trackside Kitchen に朝ごはんを食べに来ました。本当に自宅のすぐ近くにあるのに今まで知りませんでした。今回が初挑戦です。Since we woke up early this morning, we tried to Cappa's Trackside Kitchen, a tiny breakfast place. It is located very close to our home, but we didn't know about this place until now. |
 小さいお店なのですが地元の人たちで賑わっていて、テーブルが空くまでちょっと待たなければなりませんでした。コーヒーカップはお土産物屋さんに売っているようなもので絵柄はばらばら。ちなみにコーヒーはかな~り薄くて、ただの黒いお湯みたい。It was very crowded by locals when we arrived, and we had to wait for a while to get our table. We ordered coffee, but it was very diluted (like black water)... |
 夫が注文したのはハム、ピーマン、たまねぎ入りのオムレツ。卵4~5個は使ってあろうかという大きなもの。My husband ordered the omelet with ham, green peppers and onions. It was huge - maybe 4 or 5 eggs were used.. |
 私はステーキ&エッグ。卵は好きな調理方法を選べるのですが、今回は目玉焼きにしてみました。I chose the steak & eggs. |
 お肉はちょっと硬かったですが焼き加減はばっちり。ボリュームたっぷりで、お値段格安。地元の人たちに人気なのも分かります。今度はホットケーキを食べてみようかな。The steak was a bit tough, but cooked as I requested. I sneaked a peek at other tables, and all dishes were huge portions (and prices are reasonable). I understand why this place is so popular. I think I'll try pancakes next time! |
