Tonight we had to come to nearby FedEx office to pick up my parcel, and decided to have a quick dinner at Five Guys next door. It's a burger chain originally from Arlington, VA, but recently opened at many places across the US. |

Lunch at Legal Seafood
Today I came to Legal Sea Foods near my company for lunch. |
My friend ordered the bowl of clam chowder at first. I kind of like Legal's clam chowder - it generally has lots of clams. |
I ordered the fried clam sandwich. |
Clams weren't too bid, but tasted good. But I had too much fries (calamari, clams, potatoes...) and felt heartburn afterwards... |

Brunch at Tico
Today my husband suggested to come to Tico for brunch. |
Today's special menu was the prix fixe including the cocktail made with 901 Tequila. We didn't know, but were told that Justin Timberlake is the co-founder of 901 Tequila. |
For the main dish, my husband selected the fried shrimp po'boy. He had this dish last time and was quite fond of it. |
Shrimp were very plump and good. |
And the prix fixe came with one side, so we chose the bacon. |
I ordered the breakfast burrito. |

SOWA
Today we came to SoWa, an open market, that is open every Sunday from May to September. It has fresh produce, crafts, antiques, clothes, etc. |
These are the bottles of honey collected in Vermont. We tasted it and liked it very much, so got a mid size bottle. |
These stuffed animals looked so cute that I couldn't resist taking a picture. But $40 each seems a bit pricey... |
In SoWa are many food trucks as well! |
This is the truck for our favorite Speed's Hot Dog. |
They serve humongous, but very tasty hot dogs. One hot dog can feed two people. |
But you'd get messy when you eat it - it comes with lots of sauce! |
This one is for seafood. |
As always, Poirot was staring at my husband's face when he was eating the hot dog. |
But he couldn't get anything - he looked disappointed and sad... |
Wilson Farm
This morning we had come nearby, so we stopped at Wilson Farm. Wide variety of pumpkins (squashes?) decorated the outside wall of the building. Autumn has come to New England! |
Many pumpkins! I didn't buy it here, but need to get some. |
And also various decorations for Halloween were sold. |
They were also making apple cider donuts on site. |

Brunch at Sweet Potato Bistro
Today we came to a Taiwanese restaurant, Sweet Potato Bistro, in Newton with our friend couple. This restaurant opened sometime this year and relatively new - this was our first visit. On weekends, they serve Taiwanese breakfast. It's located near Chung Shin Yuan which has similar menus on weekends. |
Sweet soy milk. Soy milk essential to Taiwanese breakfast, but this one was not so good. |
Dried tofu salad. This is one of my favorites. I always order it at Chung Shin Yuan. This version was not bad, either. |
Seaweed salad. Lots of garlic and good, too. |
Jellyfish salad. My husband didn't like it very much, but I loved its texture and flavor. |
Cuttlefish soup. I love this soup at Shilin Night Market in Taipei, but in restaurants in US, only dried cuttlefish (not fresh one) is used (so I don't order it in US). But our waitress told us that they used fresh cuttlefish and thus we ordered it. But it had only tiny bit of the fresh one and mostly the dried one. It was totally different version of Shilin Night Market's. Disappointing... |
Steamed bun with pork and pickle. This was very good. |
Steamed bun with vegetarian ham. I did not taste it. |
Taro cake. This was my favorite of the day. Very yummy. |
Xiaolongbao (soup dumplings). They were not as good as Dintaifung's (to me, xiaolongbao at Dintaifung is the reference). I tried xiaolongbao at various restaurants in US, but none of them served better ones than Dintaifung... |

Dinner at Moroccan Hospitality Restaurant
Inside the very thin layers of fillo dough is chicken meat cooked with various spices. It was very slightly sweet and yummy~. |
This restaurant serves authentic, home-style Moroccan food - nothing fancy but very solid. By the way, we wanted to order one of our favorite dishes that we had on our last visit (spiced beef in big, flaky, square-shaped dough), but it was a special dish served only during Ramadan and they did not have it today. My husband said to the chef (one of owners?) that he would order it next year, and she replied that if we called in advance, she could make it for us. We'll definitely order it!
