Brunch at Toro

今日は、South End にあるタパスレストラン、Toro にブランチを食べに行って来ました。 Today, we went to Toro, a tapas restaurant located in South End, to have brunch.

ここは外にもテーブルがあるので、Poirot も一緒に楽しめます。予約は受け付けないので、外の席を確保するためちょっと早めにレストランに到着。 They have several tables outside, so we can enjoy our meal with Poirot. Since they do not accept reservations, we arrived there early to secure an outside table.

Poirot もおとなしく（？）座っています。 Poirot is quietly (?) sitting.

僕のご飯、まだ？おなかすいたよ~。 "Where is my lunch? I am so hungry!"

パン。まあまあかな。 Bread. Not too bad.

Patatas Bravas (Fried Potatoes with Alioli and Spicy Tomato Sauce)。 ただのフライドポテトなのですが、熱々で、アイオリソースとよくマッチして、おいしい。トマトソース（下に隠れている）はそんなにスパイシーではありませんでした。 Potatoes matched well with Alioli sauce and were very tasty. Tomato sauce (hidden under potatoes) was not too spicy.

Tortilla Espanola (Egg, Potato and Onion Omlet with Alioli)。 スパニッシュオムレツは冷たかったです。スペインでも冷たいのが出されたので、多分これが普通なのでしょうが、私は暖かいほうが好みです。 This dish was served cold.  I guess this is normal as it was served in the same way in Spain, but I prefer hot.

Jamon Serrano Redoncio Iglesias (Serrano Ham)。 スペインの生ハム。スーパーで買うのと違って、おいしい。 This tasted much better than the one I usually buy at a supermarket.

僕も食べたいよ~。 "I want to eat, too!"

Asado de Huesos (Roasted Bone Marrow with Radish Citrus Salad and Ox Tail Marmalade)。 牛の骨髄のロースト。骨髄はあまり好みの味ではありませんでしたが、付け合せのオックステールののったパンとサラダはとてもおいしい！食べ終わった後の骨は Poirot に。大喜びで齧ってました。 I didn't like bone marrow too much, but loved salad and ox tail on bread.  Poirot was so excited to get the bone after we finished.

Maiz Asado con Alioli y Queso Cotija (Grilled Corn with Alioli, Lime, Espelette Pepper and Aged Cheese。 焼きとうもろこしにアイオリソースやチーズを乗せたもの。甘いとうもろこしにアイオリソースがよく合います。これもまたおいしい。アリオリソースはなんにでも合いますね。 Corn was very sweet and matched very well with Alioli sauce + cheese. This was very delicious. You can't go wrong with Alioli sauce!

Beef Tongue Hash。 牛タンのハッシュ。中に唐辛子が入っていて、スパイシー。おいしかったのですが、もうこの時点でおなか一杯になってしまって、あまりよく味わえませんでした。またしても注文しすぎですね。 It had spicy pepper inside. This was tasty as well, but by the time this dish was served, we were too full to enjoy it.. We tend to order too much!

食後はレストランの近くにある、ドッグパークへ。ここでは Poirot も自由に走り回れます。 誰か僕と遊びたいわんちゃんいる～？ After our great meal, we went to a dog park nearby. Poirot can run freely here. "Who wants to play with me?"

パグを見つけて寄って行ったのですが、逆に追いかけられて、あえなく退散。 He found another pug and tried to become friends, but he was chased by this dog so he ran away...

このわんちゃんはやさしいかな？ "Is this guy gentle to me?"

ひゃ~、やっぱり追いかけられた！ "Oh, you chase me, too??"
