Trip to New Orleans Day 6

今日は学会最終日。名残惜しいですがニューオーリンズともお別れです。午前中で学会が終わり、2時半の飛行機に乗る前に、Cochon Butcher に行って、サンドイッチをテイクアウト。ここは、Cochon というレストランの隣にあるお肉屋さん兼ワインバーです。 Today is the last day for the conference and unfortunately I have to fly back to Boston...  The conference ended in the morning and before taking my flight at 2:30 pm, I went to Cochon Butcher to grab some sandwiches to go.  This place is located next to the restaurant, Cochon, and the butcher as well as the wine bar.

サンドイッチは豚のスタンプを押した紙袋に入ってきました。 Sandwiches were put in the paper bag with the pig stamp on it.

これは "cochon muffaletta" というサンドイッチ。ちょっと塩辛いですが、おいしかったです。 "Cochon muffaletta"; house made meats, provolone, pickled peppers and olives.  It was a little bit salty, but was tasty.

こちらは "gambino" というサンドイッチで、サラミなどがたっぷり入っています。この後、飛行機に乗って無事にボストンまで帰りました。疲れましたが、楽しい時間 (とおいしい食事) を過ごすことが出来ました。もちろん、学会も有意義でした (遊んでばかりいたわけではありません!)。 This one is called "gambino", and had salami cotto, sopressata, coppa and fresh herb vinaigrette.  After this, I flew back to Boston safely.  I was exhausted but was glad that we had a very good time (and food!).

ちなみに、これがギャラリーで購入したパグの置物。ちょっと怒ったような顔が Poirot に似てると思って選びました。 This is the pug ceramics that I bought at the gallery.  I chose this one as this expression (a bit upset) reminded me of Poirot.
