Dinner at Foundry on Elm

We didn't have any restaurants in our mind when we left home for dinner.  My husband drove toward Somerville while I searched restaurants in the area using my phone.  Then I found out that Foundry on Elm, which I was interested in but never had a chance to visit, was locate in David Square, so we decided to give it a try.

It's a casual restaurant and I didn't have high expectations, but the bread and butter were surprisingly good for my taste.

We shared the confit pork belly as an appetizer.  The meat was a bit dry, but the meat around the skin was fatty and good.  And it came with a lots of greens and pickled grapes (I loved this grape!) which was a plus.

I ordered the salad Niçoise.  It had a lot of different vegetables (greens, potatoes, green beans, olives, capers etc) in addition to the tuna.

My husband selected the burger.

The meat was juicy and not bad.  We were both very full, but the price was very reasonable.  So we agreed to visit here more often!
