Trip to Portugal Day 2 (1) (Amsterdam - Lisbon)

これが、私たちの乗ったリスボン行きの飛行機。 This is the plane we took to go to Lisbon.

アムステルダムからリスボンまで3時間弱のフライトです。途中サンドイッチの軽食がでました。 It was about 3-hour flight to Lisbon.  During the flight, we were served sandwiches.

リスボンの街が眼下に見えてきました。テージョ川の河口がきれいに見えました。 We were getting close to Lisbon.  We could clearly see the Tejo River flowing into the Atlantic Ocean.

リスボン空港は市内中心部からすぐ近くにあり、飛行機から街の様子がよく見えました。 The Lisbon Airport is located very close to the city center, and from the airplane we could take a good look at the city.

到着後、すぐホテルにチェックイン。今回の旅を計画したのが結構遅かったため、目ぼしいホテルは空室がなく、私たちの泊まったホテルは観光地の旧市街からは少し離れた Praça do Marquês Pombal の近くです。 After landing, we immediately checked in our hotel, which is located very close to  Praça do Marquês Pombal but a little bit away from the old parts of the city (popular places for tourists).

でもホテルのすぐそばに地下鉄の駅があるので、あちこち観光するのにはかえって便利だったかも。ホテルにチェックインして少し休憩した後ちょっと早い夕食を食べに街まで行きました。 But the metro station is only a few minutes away from our hotel, so it was actually very convenient to visit various places.  After checking in, we took a short break and then went for an early dinner.

地下鉄は4つの路線があって、それぞれの線がわかりやすく色分けされています。お目当てのレストランは観光地からは少し離れていて、緑色の路線の Intendente という駅の近くにあります。 The metro has 4 different lines, and each line is color-coded.  The restaurant we were going to was not exactly in the city center (near the metro station "Intendente" on the green line).

駅から地上に出ると、ポルトガル名物のかわいらしい路面電車を発見。この後何回もこの路面電車に乗りました。 Once we got out from the station, we found this cute tram called "eléctorico".  We took this tram many times during our stay in Lisbon.

建物の壁は色々な模様のアズレージョで飾られています。アズレージョは特別な場所だけではなく、一般の家や商店にも普通に使われていました。 Buildings are decorated with Azulejo, beautifully painted ceramic tiles.  Azulejo can be found everywhere in Portugal - not only in churches, stations, etc but also in small shops, restaurants, and ordinary houses.

お目当てのレストラン、Cervejaria Ramiro に到着。ここは海老、蟹など甲殻類だけを扱うレストランです。お店の生簀には大きな海老。 After just a few minutes' walk, we arrived the restaurant, Cervejaria Ramiro.  This restaurant serves only crustaceans.  There was big tanks where shrimp, crabs, etc were stored alive.

そのほかにも色々な種類の海老や貝などが並んでいます。 Various shrimp and shells are displayed inside the restaurant.

蟹もあります。 Crabs as well.

お店の壁は海老や蟹のアズレージョで飾られています。 The wall of the restaurant is decorated with Azulejo of crustaceans.

席に着くとまずパンが運ばれてきます。フランスとは違ってパンは有料です。 After we sat at the table, bread was served.  Unlike in France, bread/butter are not free in Portugal.

Vinho Verde のハーフボトルを注文。メニューに何種類かあったのですが、適当にこのワインをピックアップ。どのワインも値段はかなり安いです。味はすごくライトでフレッシュです。 We ordered a half bottle of Vinho Verde.  There were several different kinds on the menu, but we just randomly picked this one up.  All the wines were very cheap...  This wine tasted very light and fresh.

ガーリックシュリンプ。海老がぷりぷりでおいしい~。 Shrimp in garlic sauce.  Shrimp were very fresh and tasty!

アサリもワインとにんにくのソースとよく合っていくらでも食べられます。 Clams with white wine and garlic.  We couldn't stop eating them!

ノルウェーロブスターを頼んだつもりが、間違ってオーダーしたらしく、普通のロブスターが出てきました。でも卵が一杯入っていておいしかったので大満足です。 I thought I ordered langoustine (Norwegian lobster), but I guess I ordered wrong and a normal lobster was served.  But it was stuffed with eggs and very good.  We were very satisfied.
