For tonight's dinner, we visited Tasca da Esquina. |
This is the tiny restaurant with ~30 seats. |
The bread was already on the table when we arrived. |
In addition, olives, cheese and unknown round things were on the table as well. |
These unknown things were similar to samosas (Indian food), but I don't know exactly what they were. |
First we ordered this white wine. |
The second dish was the salted cod with passion fruit sauce. The sourness of the passion fruit added the freshness to the fish. |
The clams in the wine and garlic sauce. It had ginger slices which brought the different flavors together. |
The sautéed scallops and mushrooms. |
The scallops were almost raw. Very tasty! |
Then we switched to the red wine. |
The cheese and papaya. |
Prior to the dessert, we each got a glass of porto wine (this was on house). Was this because they gave us only two slices of the duck?? |
The dessert consisted of chocolate cake and crème brulée. |
And the coffee at the end. We could enjoy variety of dishes and were very satisfied. |
